WELCOME 6th GRADERS!!!
What a great group of sixth graders we had at the lock-in!  Welcome Kevin, Ryan, Seth, Samantha, Hailey, and Shelby! 
A fun time was had by all, especially at Laser Quest!  We look forward to each of you joining us for many more MH Youth events!

Summer schedule is now over.  The school year schedule has begun.
*Sunday UMYF 5:30-7:30 PM (unless stated otherwise)
*Wednesday night supper and bible study begin Sept. 3.
*Friday morning prayer breakfast at Bojangles on Main.
*Watch the website and bulletin for special events and dates when we may not meet.

   
Estoy Loco 2008 (Middle School Mission Madness) was AMAZING!  Mt. Holly joined 4 other churches from around the Carolinas for a great weekend of service at The Children's Home. 

What's coming up...


 
* Clemson FCA "Rally in the Valley" Sept. 19-20.  Cost is $35 if you pay by Sept. 3 and $45 after the 3rd.  Price includes transportation, pizza dinner Friday, overnight at Buncombe Street UMC, breakfast, FCA Rally and t-shirt, Clemson game ticket, lunch in stadium, and dinner on the way home. 



* Tsunami Ministries FX 08 Fall Retreat at Look-Up Lodge, Oct. 10-12, cost is $115 if you pay by Sept. 14 and $130 after the 14th.  Scholarships are available if needed.

We got our first letter from Rahma on Aug. 25th!!!  A copy is posted on the youth bulletin board.
Our youth ministry has pledged $30 per month through World Vision, to support Rahma, a girl living in Jerusalem West Bank Gaza.  Learn more about her by clicking on her picture below.

Youth Choir Rehearsal will begin Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 PM.  This is open to all 6-12 graders.

UMYF snack suppers are here.  We eat at 6:00 PM unless noted otherwise.  Please sign up on the youth board if you can provide a snack supper.

What's happened...

Whitewater rafting was awesome.  What an incredible day we had on the river.  Look for pictures soon.


Back to School Bash...
Messy and fun as always!  Thank you to Darren Nichols and Tina Head for allowing us to use their "beach" and water slide.  We all had a blast.  Look for pictures soon.  They will make you laugh all over again!
